Are all your products vegan?
Yes, our products are plant-based and vegan, free of animal products.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Unopened, our Enoki Mushroom Snow Crab tins have a 3 year shelf life. Our tins of Celery Root Smoked Whitefish have a 15 month shelf life.
Do you have to refrigerate the tins?
As long as you don’t open them, our tins are safely shelf-stable, and do not require refrigeration.
Once opened, how long are your tins good for?
Once opened, contents are good stored in the fridge for 3-5 days.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We work with local Canadian suppliers to source our vegetables, fungi and oils, either locally or wherever the freshest and best quality goods are grown and produced.
Where do you produce your products?
We produce our tins in British Columbia, Canada. While our products are produced in a facility that also produces fish products, all machinery and equipment is thoroughly sanitized and cleaned prior to our plant-based production runs.
What are the natural flavors used in your products?
Our natural flavors are steam-distilled extractions from whole plant ingredients and can include essential oils, esters and other plant compounds. All natural flavors are vegan and MSG free.
What is that big green square piece at the bottom of my tin?
That, my friend, is a delicious piece of kombu (seaweed) we place at the bottom of each tin for optimal flavoring. And yes, it is both edible and delicious!
What kind of sunflower oil do you use?
We use high-quality, NGMO high-oleic sunflower oil that we source from the US.
Do your products contain soy?
Nope! Our products are soy free.
What other allergens are your products free from?
Our products are free of most major allergens, including wheat, corn, mustard, soy, shellfish, meat, dairy, eggs, and sesame.
Are you certified kosher or gluten free?
While our products are both free of gluten and kosher by nature, we are not formally certified at this time.
Shipping questions
When will my order ship?
Typically, orders will ship 1-2 business days after they’re placed.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
If something isn’t right with your order once you receive it, please reach out to hello@seedtosurf.ca and we’ll work to make it right!
I don’t want to order online. Where can I purchase your tins in store?
Our tins are available in retailers across Canada and the US. We keep our list of vendors up-to-date, which can be viewed on the Find Us page of our website.
I’m a small business and want to order your products for my store. How do I do this?
